Masonry was utilized for the interior acoustic design as a single building material that could provide robust, full-frequency acoustic response. The interior of the Theater is primarily exposed, grout-filled masonry resulting in a rich, warm sound for band and choral performances.

Each of the patterns within the new masonry, exterior ornamentation, interior lighting, tile, and carpet were developed to reflect the diversity of the college’s character and as visual expressions of the influential music derived from MCC faculty and staff.

STR designed this gleaming white building to meet the 21st century needs of Tioga Elementary School students in Bensenville. The design offers an array of bright colors inside and out.
The Napleton Automotive Group completed an addition between two existing masonry buildings. The project included the remodel of an existing Show Room and Administrative Offices. The finished expansion blended in well with the existing masonry.
Why does a community attempt to renovate historic buildings?
One reason is because older community members want to preserve their history and let their legacy live on for future generations.
Hall High School in Spring Valley
Healy, Bender & Associates incorporate a variety of masonry materials in three buildings to build a new 21st Century Educational Environment. To pay tribute to the old school, several items were salvaged and used or displayed within the new high school.
The cutting-edge facility features 31 floors of living space, garden and rooftop terraces, long-term health care facilities, a multitude of restaurant-style dining, and a variety of cultural, social and recreational amenities — including a creative arts studio, salon and spa, theater, and comprehensive aquatic and fitness center.
